Welcome! I invite you to enjoy my kiln formed glass work.
I have been working with glass since 2003. My inspiration comes from many things and places including the many countries I have visited around the world, especially third world countries including Uganda, Morocco, Tanzania, Mexico and many more. I am particularly drawn to African art, and especially faces. I love using interesting color combinations and mixing opaque with transparent glass and sometimes incorporating other mediums like beads, feathers, swarvski crystals, fusible paper, glass rods and beads and buttons. I also design pieces that includes photos, graphical images, words, invitations, maps, sheet music, or practically anything.
All of my work is one-of-a-kind. I enjoy designing pieces that each have their own personality and look. I like to think that each piece tells me what they want to look like and I just bring them to life. All of my bowls, platters and plates are functional. I create new pieces all the time and love doing custom work. Lately, I’ve gotten into designing lighting for homes. If you would like to see my home gallery or discuss a custom project email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 301-229-1135.
I now have a Yelp page. If you would like to see reviews or add yours, please go to yelp.com and type creativeglassdesign next to find, and type Bethesda next to near.
